On the road from Manali towards Solang, Nehru Kund is an easy stop that often gets overlooked. It is known for its clear natural spring, surrounded by mountains, pine and deodar forests.

Why Visit Nehru Kund?
Nehru Kund isn’t a place where you need to spend half a day. Its charm is in keeping the visit simple.
- The natural spring is the main attraction.
- The surroundings are peaceful, especially compared with central Manali.

- It’s a convenient stop while travelling towards Solang Valley, Atal Tunnel or Rohtang.

Weather & Best Time to Visit
The weather here is similar to upper Manali.
- March–June: Pleasant days and comfortable for road trips.
- July–August: Green and fresh, but rain can affect road conditions.
- September–November: Cool, clear and excellent for mountain views.
- December–February: Cold, with snow and icy conditions possible.
Even in summer, mornings and evenings can feel chilly, especially near the river.
For a comfortable road trip, April–June and September–November are great choices.
Crowd & Off-Season

You don’t need to plan much:
Manali → Nehru Kund → tea/coffee → slow drive towards Palchan → enjoy the mountain views → return to Manali.
If you have more time, continue towards Solang Valley.
