LUGGAGE POLICY – TERMS & CONDITIONS

These terms form an integral part of the Passenger Consent Form of Midlife Holidays. By boarding the vehicle and/or availing hotel services, the passenger agrees to the following luggage-related terms and conditions:


A. GENERAL LUGGAGE RESPONSIBILITY

  1. Each passenger is solely responsible for their personal luggage, belongings, valuables, documents, cash, electronics, and any other items carried during the trip.
  2. Midlife Holidays acts only as a tour coordinator/facilitator and shall not be considered a carrier or custodian of passenger luggage at any stage of the journey.
  3. Passengers are advised not to carry valuable items such as cash, jewellery, laptops, cameras, mobile phones, important documents, or medicines in check-in / vehicle luggage.

B. AT THE TIME OF VEHICLE BOARDING

  1. Passengers must clearly identify and label their luggage with their name, contact number, and destination before boarding.
  2. Loading and unloading of luggage into the vehicle shall be done under the passenger’s own supervision.
  3. Midlife Holidays, driver, helper, or transporter shall not be responsible for:
    • Misplacement or exchange of luggage during loading/unloading
    • Damage caused due to overloading, fragile items, or improper packing
  4. Passengers must personally ensure that their luggage has been correctly placed in the vehicle before departure.

C. DURING TRAVEL

  1. Midlife Holidays shall not be liable for any loss, theft, damage, or delay of luggage due to:
    • Road conditions, weather, snowfall, landslides, accidents, or unforeseen circumstances
    • Sudden braking, vehicle movement, or mechanical issues
    • Acts of negligence by the passenger
  2. Handbags, purses, backpacks, wallets, mobile phones, and valuables must be kept under the passenger’s personal custody at all times.
  3. The company shall not be responsible for any theft or loss of luggage from inside the vehicle during stoppages, meals, sightseeing, or rest breaks.

D. AT HOTELS / STAYS

  1. After check-in, the responsibility of luggage lies entirely with the passenger and the respective hotel.
  2. Midlife Holidays shall not be responsible for:
  • Loss, theft, or damage of luggage kept in hotel rooms, lobby, cloak rooms, or common areas
  • Loss arising due to hotel staff, other guests, or third parties
  1. Passengers are advised to use hotel lockers/safes wherever available for valuables.
  2. Any dispute related to missing, damaged, or stolen items at the hotel shall be resolved directly between the passenger and the hotel management.

E. PROHIBITED & SPECIAL ITEMS

  1. Carrying illegal items, inflammable materials, drugs, weapons, or restricted substances is strictly prohibited.
  2. Midlife Holidays shall not be liable for confiscation, penalties, legal action, or delays arising due to such items found in passenger luggage.
  3. Passengers carrying fragile, perishable, or high-value items do so entirely at their own risk.

F. NO CLAIM POLICY

  1. No claim for compensation, reimbursement, or legal action shall be made against Midlife Holidays for loss, theft, or damage to luggage at any stage of the trip.
  2. Passengers agree that Midlife Holidays shall not be held liable under any civil or criminal law for luggage-related issues.

G. ACCEPTANCE

  1. By signing the consent form and boarding the vehicle, the passenger confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted all luggage-related terms and conditions.

Midlife Holidays reserves the right to amend these terms without prior notice in the interest of safety and operations.


This document is legally binding and enforceable.
